Forsters a winner at LawCareers.Net Training & Recruitment Awards

Forsters has won LawCareers.Net's (LCN) prestigious award for best recruiter (Medium City firm) at a ceremony held at Merchant Taylors' Hall on 19 May. The firm faced competition from other shortlisted firms Bristows, Russell-Cooke Solicitors, Mayer Brown International, RPC, Travers Smith and Wedlake Bell.  This was the fourth consecutive year that Forsters had been nominated for an award.

The LCN awards endorse those firms devoting significant time and resource to setting trainees on the right path as they start their careers.  This includes how firms  support, assess and communicate with trainees through the recruitment process and beyond and the results are based on feedback from over 2,000 trainees and newly-qualified lawyers.

The award was collected by Partner Emily Exton, Forsters' Head of Graduate Recruitment.  Also attending were James Gilbert and Elizabeth Davis from the firm's HR team, who are heavily involved in the recruitment programme.

Emily Exton said: "Recruiting trainees is a vital part of building the future of the firm and everyone on our graduate recruitment panel puts a huge amount of effort into the process because we know what a difference it can make to those starting out in the profession.  We aim to give candidates every opportunity to demonstrate their talent and potential to become our stars of the future as well as a feel for the firm and it is so satisfying for our work to be recognised in this way and to know that trainees have been impressed by Forsters' approach."

Our Insights

I wanted to train at a firm that had a good culture and variety of and responsibility in work. I have found both to be true at Forsters.
