RMHC complete new house at Evelina Hospital

As reported in the Evening Standard, Ronald McDonald House Charities ("RMHC") has recently opened a new house to accommodate families of children being treated at Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

The new Ronald McDonald House will be run by RMHC, the project has been undertaken in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Construction of the 59-bedroom facility on a site located off Lambeth Road, adjacent to Lambeth Palace and just a five minute walk to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, was completed in late 2016, with the first parents being able to stay there in December. The new Ronald McDonald House has communal living areas such as kitchens, playrooms, lounges and laundry facilities. Families are able to stay free of charge and for as long as they need.

Commercial Real Estate partner, Victoria Towers, has advised RMHC throughout the development process, assisted by Amy France. Construction advice has been provided by Head of Construction, partner Sarah Cook, assisted by Charlotte Eccles.
