That's a wrap! Forsters advises on Cardiff cinema re-opening

Forsters has advised real estate fund manager Moorfield Group and shopping centre asset manager Plus Shops Retail, in relation to an agreement with Premiere Cinemas to re-open the five screen, 755-seat cinema which forms part of the Capitol Shopping Centre in Cardiff.

Located within the prime retail area of Cardiff, the Capitol Shopping Centre is a freehold covered shopping centre with approximately 165,300 sq ft of retail accommodation over two floors.

Premiere are aiming to re-open the cinema in December 2014 following a £1m refurbishment. They have signed up to a 25 year lease.

Other recent activity at the Capitol Shopping Centre includes the grant of new leases to EasyGym, Pret a Manger and Poundworld.

Head of Commercial Real Estate Matthew Swainston led the team advising Moorfield and Plus Shops, assisted by Peter Selwyn and Tina Heathcote.
