Jo Edwards interviewed on BBC Radio London drive time about new survey revealing ignorance about cohabitants’ lack of rights

Jo was interviewed by Jim Davis about a new survey by the National Centre for Social Research, which shows that almost half of people mistakenly believe that unmarried couples who live together have a common law marriage and enjoy the same rights as couples that are legally married. During the interview Jo highlighted the hardship caused to cohabiting couples by the current state of the law; things to be aware of; calls to reform the law in England and Wales; and how cohabiting couples may better protect their position in the meantime.
